Accessibility

Check-a-Train should be usable by people who need a quick, calm answer about a delayed train. This page describes the current accessibility posture honestly.

Standard we are aiming for

We aim to make the public product usable with keyboard navigation, readable contrast, semantic headings, labelled form fields, and responsive layouts across desktop and mobile.

The product has not yet had a formal external accessibility audit, so this page should not be read as a full compliance claim.

Current product approach

  • Core form fields use visible labels and predictable tab order.
  • Account and trust pages use simple headings and plain-English content.
  • Result and report surfaces avoid relying on colour alone for the main text label.
  • Mobile layouts collapse tables and dense result areas into more readable cards where needed.

Known launch limitations

Some visual themes, interactive result cards, and historical-proof details still need wider assistive-technology testing. Some third-party operator claim pages are outside Check-a-Train's control.

Report an accessibility problem

If something blocks you from using Check-a-Train, please use the contact page and include:

  • the page or feature you were using;
  • what you expected to happen;
  • what went wrong;
  • your browser, device, and any assistive technology if you are comfortable sharing it.
